GLASS, OIL CANDLES, A modern interpretation of the classic candle, designed by architect Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen. The glass candles can be used again and again, by topping up lamp oil continuously. Walls and funnel for filling oil are included.

The glass candle is available here in transparent and, with its simple expression, is an exciting alternative to the white candle.

The glass candles have the same dimensions as an ordinary crown candle, and you will therefore be able to use the glass candle in all standard-sized candlesticks. The small rubber ring at the bottom of the light ensures that the light is stable in the stand.

MOUTH-BLOWN GLASS CANDLES

The mouth-blown candles are made of borosilicate glass, which is also used to produce laboratory equipment. This type of glass can therefore withstand large temperature fluctuations and you therefore never have to fear that the glass will become too hot and crack.

In addition, the glass is also scratch-resistant, so the glass will stay nice for a long time.

CLEANING

Should there be a need to clean the glass candle, you can simply wash it with warm or boiling water with sulfo.

FURNISHED WITH GLASS LIGHT

The glass candles burn beautifully and atmospherically on a dark evening, but are also decorative as part of the decor, where the sunlight can frolic and reflect its rays in the glass. Put the glass candles in a small still life with trinkets and recycled finds and enjoy them as part of your decor.

Since the glass candles are the same size as regular crown candles, you can put the glass candles in your favorite holders, it can be your vintage holders in brass or in the classic cube holder.

BURNING TIME & LAMP OIL

Oil and wick have a great influence on the burning time, and therefore we have tested different lamp oils to find the best oil for our glass candles.

We recommend that you use the lamp oil from the brand Alaska. This oil is an ordinary lamp oil, which is odorless and soot-free. It doesn't matter which oil you use, as it has a big impact on how and how long the candles burn.

A filled candle can burn for approximately 5-8 hours continuously, depending on the type of oil.

However, you should be aware that the glass candles are not candles and thus the flame will never be as big as on a candle.

When approx. if there is 3-4 cm of oil left in your glass candle, the flame will be smaller than normal, as the design of the candle makes it difficult for the wick to absorb enough oil.

Therefore, fill your glass candle with lamp oil after each use, and you ensure that the wick and flame give you the best result every time. It is important that you never split the wicks, as the oil candle will burn significantly worse. There are always 4 wicks in a pack of 2 candles.

OIL FILLING

• Leave the wick in the small glass tube.
• Add oil using the small funnel provided.
• Dab the top of the wick with a drop of oil from the funnel. Allow 3-5 mil wicks to look forward to flame.
• The light is usually turned off by blowing or using a candle extinguisher.

ATTENTION ALWAYS REFILL ONLY WHEN THE GLASS HAS COOLED.

ATTENTION

Please note that the glass candles are not candles and thus the flame will never be as large as on a regular candle. Since the candles are designed as a regular long candle, the wick will have a harder time pulling the oil up when the oil is only 2-3 cm down and the flame will be smaller.

We have chosen that the aesthetics were the most important thing for this design, therefore they need to be filled with oil a little more often, so that you can get the perfect flame.
