Studio About is expanding their glass universe with the beautiful ceramic series CLAYWARE in 4 colour combinations. The series is a part of the TABLEWARE collection and is a refreshing interpretation of the classic dinnerware. This dinner plate is in the colour SAND/GREY and is partially glazed so that the raw clay is kept on the outside and the inside is glazed with a grey glaze. The dinner plate comes in a set of two and is designed by Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen.
The partial glazing of the plate creates a naked and exquisite look and gives a distinctive tactile feel when it is in use. This gives the sensation of beautiful and fine craftsmanship. The sand-coloured clay has a textured finish, which adds a wonderful grey play of colours to the plate. The ceramic plate has a classic design with its large surface and a raised edge. The colour combination is harmonic and timeless, which makes the plate perfect for the minimalistic and classic home. You can also style the plate with other stoneware in different colours or coloured glass for a contrasted and lighter expression.
You can create beautiful and appetising food platings with the big dinner plate. You can use it for bigger meals or as smaller serving tray for salads or cakes.
You can easily clean the plate with warm water and soap but it is also dishwasher proof. It is also suitable for the microwave and freezer but is not safe for oven use. The dinner plate is made of natural clay, thus meaning that the unglazed parts will get traces of usage over time. This is part of the design and will only add character to the plate. The ceramic is safe for food, including acid.
The ceramic plate is available in the colours IVORY/YELLOW, TERRACOTTA/BLUE and TERRAOTTA/ RED and is also available as bowls and cups.
