On top of 2020, it seems that we all have an extra need for Christmas and make a little more out of both decorations and getting together. We have been looking forward to sharing some inspiration for the Christmas table setting with you. We always set the Christmas table in the afternoon, both so that we have plenty of time to caress the small details, but also so that we can go and enjoy the table until Christmas dinner. A beautifully laid Christmas table definitely contributes to the Christmas calm in our home.
CHRISTMAS TABLE
THE LIGHT CUFF ANNO 2020
Do you remember them? The light cuffs from the 90s? The little plastic rings with colorful flowers in fabric and glitter that you could just put around the base of your candle? It may take some time before that trend has a renaissance, but we couldn't resist playing with the idea at this year's Christmas table.
Here we have conjured Dahlia and Peony paper flowers into a mini flower wreath, which has been given space around one of our new glass candles. The advantage, of course, is that the glass candle neither burns down nor drips candle wax into the flowers, so when Christmas is over, the flowers can be reused in new creative projects.

DIY TABLE DECORATIONS FOR THE CHRISTMAS TABLE
Do you want to start the project yourself? The paper flowers have bendable stems, so you simply braid the stems together until you have the desired size of the wreath. Use it as a candle cuff or insert a nice ribbon and use it as a decoration on the wall. If you want to use it directly on the table, you can also use a mini-straw wreath and supplement with a little (semi-dry) Icelandic moss to hide the stems.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS IN SMALL FINE VASES
There must be plenty of space for the Christmas cornucopia of delicious food, which is why our small Standing Bubbles and tall, slim Flower Tube vases are ideal on the Christmas table. The vases are available in all the colors of the rainbow, so it is easy to match the vases with your Christmas table. Play with different color combinations in flowers and vases or keep it simple and stylish.

MAKE DECORATIONS YOURSELF FOR YOUR GUESTS
Often it's the small details that make all the difference, and it doesn't have to be time-consuming to create an inviting little welcome for your guests. Here you get 3 ideas for a nice little portioned decoration:
BOW NAPKINS
A cloth napkin shaped into a bow is both a simple and nice idea. All you need is a cloth napkin and a fine ribbon. As a little extra flair, you can let a paper flower snake up from the wine glass, it gives a whimsical and slightly sculptural effect on the table.
NAPKIN RING WITH PAPER FLOWER
Wrap a paper flower around your napkin and decorate with a small Christmas ball and a fine ribbon. A cute and simple idea that doesn't require many minutes of preparation.
INDEPENDENT FLOWER
We love home-knitted napkins, which need no more decoration than a fine silk ribbon and a small paper flower that gives the whole plate a lift.
THE CHRISTMAS TABLE WITH A MIX OF NEW & OLD
Mixing fine vintage finds with new design is always a good idea, and this also applies to the Studio About Christmas table, where we have gone all in on colorful glass plates and beautiful French wine glasses.
