TABLEWARE is the new collection from Studio About, consisting of colored water and wine glasses, as well as a ceramic stem. This serving bowl is part of the ceramic set CLAYWARE and comes in a set of two. in the color sand/grey. The ceramic bowl is partially glazed, so that the inside is glazed with a gray glaze, to which the raw clay is preserved on the outside, which creates a naked and stylish look. The collection was designed by Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen and is made of natural clay.
TIMELESS CERAMICS
The combination with the sand-colored clay and the gray glazing makes the serving bowl timeless and elegant in its design. Its minimalist shape gives it a light expression, and the tactile, raw exterior gives a luxurious feeling in the hands. The bowl is a nice size, perfect for breakfast, snacks or desserts. You can also be creative and use it for storage for, for example, jewellery. Its timeless color means it can fit into most homes. You can style the bowl with ceramics in other colors or colored glass. The raw ceramics will, for example, form a nice contrast to our feminine colored drinking glasses.
The ceramic bowl can be stacked to save space or is decorative to have standing out front as part of the decor.
CLEANING AND MATERIALS
The ceramic bowl can be easily cleaned with soap and water and can be put in the dishwasher, microwave and freezer. It is not suitable for the oven. The bowl is made of natural clay, which means that the unglazed parts can patina over time. This is part of the design and will simply give the bowl character. The ceramics are approved for food, including acid-based foods.
The ceramic bowl also comes in the colors TERRACOTTA/RED, IVORY/LIGHT YELLOW, TERRAOTTA/LIGHT BLUE, and is also available as plates and mugs.
Studio About is a Danish design studio that explores the contrast between the organic and the industrial in their aesthetics and design philosophy. All products are designed by architect Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen.
