The FRAMELESS collection from Studio About is a series of transparent acrylic picture frames. Here, the frame consists of a transparent front and back in acrylic in a slightly transparent purple colour. 2 chicago screws hold the frame together and make it easy to change the motif. The frame is easily hung directly in one of the hollow screws.

Here, the frame is available in a round version, it has a transparent front and a slightly purple back in acrylic. The frame fits motifs in A4 size, but has a diameter of 444 MM and will therefore form a natural passepartout around your poster or artwork.

DECORATED WITH COLORS

The transparent frame is available here in a nice round version. The delicate purple color of the back creates a nice and simple frame for your artwork and gives a nice visual effect. The frame fits a poster in A4 size, but with the round shape there is also plenty of opportunity to use the frame creatively.

The colored frame is an easy way to bring some color into the interior. Play with a tone-on-tone look by choosing motifs in shades of blue or choose a contrasting color for a more colorful expression. You can also experiment with other types of art, possibly a handmade paper cut, a collage or some pressed flowers. Hang the frame on your picture wall in a mix with your other favourites.

SPACE FOR CREATIVITY

As with the other collections from Studio About, the plan is to play and innovate with classic objects. Therefore, try hanging the frames in your window and let the light play with the beautiful blue color and your chosen motif. The motif does not have to have standard measurements, it just has to be made of thin material. You can, for example, experiment with mohair yarn in different shades or fold a completely flat flower out of crepe paper. Only the imagination sets the limits.

VARIANTS

The series of acrylic frames is available in many different colors and in most standard sizes such as A5, A4, A3, A2 and B2. In addition, there are also 2 round frames in the collection. The frame itself will form a passepartout around your motif.

CLEANING

You can easily dust off the frame with a cloth or polish it with ordinary glass cleaner.

The front of the frame has UV protection, which protects your artwork from discoloration from the sun.

The FRAMELESS series was designed by architect Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen, who is one half of the creative duo behind Studio About.

UNPACKING

The frames are supplied with a clear film on the front and back, so that the frame is not scratched or scratched during transport.

• You open the frame by unscrewing the screws, one at the top and one at the bottom.
• Place your motif between the two sheets of acrylic. Screw the screws back on.
• Peel off the film on the front and back, use glass cleaner if the frame gets greasy.
• Hang the frame.

The frame has a colored back and a transparent front, but you can flip it however you want.
