Studio About expands their glass universe with the beautiful ceramic series CLAYWARE in 4 color combinations. The series is part of the TABLEWARE collection, and is a refreshing interpretation of the classic tableware. This dinner plate is in the color SAND/GREY and is partially glazed so that the outside appears raw and the center is glazed with a gray glaze. The dinner plate comes in a set of 2. and is designed by Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen.
BEAUTIFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP
The partial glazing of the plate creates a naked and delicious expression, and gives a special tactile feeling in the hands when it is in use. This gives the feeling of beautiful and good craftsmanship. The sand-colored clay has a textured and chipped finish, which creates a nice play in the plate. The ceramic plate has a classic design with a large surface that curves up into a wide edge. The color combination is harmonious and timeless, which makes it perfect for the minimalist and classic home. You can also combine the ceramic plate with other stoneware in other colors or colored glass to create a contrasting and lighter look.
With the large dinner plate, you can make beautiful and inviting dishes. You can use it for larger meals or as a smaller serving dish for e.g. salads or cakes. When not in use, it can be stacked, but is also decorative to have standing out front on an open shelf.
CLEANING
You can easily clean the plate with warm water and soap, but can also go in the dishwasher. In addition, it is suitable for the microwave and freezer, but must not be placed in the oven. The dinner plate is made of natural clay, which means that the unglazed exterior can patina over time. This is part of the design and will simply give the plate character. The ceramics are approved for food, including acid-based foods.
The ceramic plate also comes in the colors IVORY/YELLOW, TERRAOTTA/LIGHT BLUE and TERRACOTTA/RED, and is also available as bowls and mugs.
Studio About is a Danish design studio. The TABLEWARE collection was designed by architect Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen.
