GLASS, OIL CANDLES, and candlelight equal cosiness in Denmark. That's why architect Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen has designed these simple and beautiful glass candles as an alternative to the classic white candle.

You can enjoy the glass candles, again and again, simply refill them with lamp oil. You will find the glass candles in 5 colours: Pink, transparent, smoke, yellow and blue.

The lights fit into all standard candlesticks as they carry a small silicone ring at the bottom. You can use them in your brass candlesticks, the cube candlestick or how about our LINK candlestick.

IT'S A SET OF 2

This package of yellow glass candles contains:

• 2 candles in glass, 21 cm
• Oil filling funnel
• 4 wicks (burning time approx. 1000 hours per piece)

Be aware that the yellow colour may vary from production to production. You may experience that the colour is a little lighter or darker than displayed in the image.

LIGHT THROUGH MOUTH-BLOWN GLASS 

The candles are mouth-blown and crafted from borosilicate glass. This type of glass endures large temperature fluctuations so you never have to worry about the glass getting too hot and bursting.

In addition, the glass is also scratch-resistant and keeps its colour - this means that you have a light that will last forever and stay beautiful.

CLEANING

If you need to clean it, you can simply wash it with soap and water.

BURNING TIME AND LAMP OIL

Oil and wicks have a great influence on the burning time. We have tested different lamp oils to find the best oil for these glass candles.

We recommend that you use Alaska lamp oil. This oil is a common lamp oil, which is odour- and soot-free. The choice of oil will affect how and how long the lights burn.

The oil from Alaska is good for indoor use and can be purchased where you normally buy lamp oil.

When there is approx. 3-4 cm of oil left in your glass light, the flame will be smaller as the wick has difficulty absorbing the oil. This is due to the design and the height of the light.

If you add lamp oil to your glass candle after use, you ensure the best result for both wick and flame the next time you light up the cosiness. It is important that you never split the wicks, as the oil light will burn significantly worse. There are always 4 wicks in a pack of 2 candles.

FILLING UP OIL

• Leave the wick in the small glass tube.
• Fill with oil using the small funnel provided.
• Dab the top of the wick with a drop of oil from the funnel. Let 3-5 mm wick peek up to the flame.
• The light is usually switched off by blowing or using a light extinguisher.

NOTE: MAKE SURE THE GLASS HAS COOLED BEFORE REFILLING.

The lights come in one discreet round cardboard tube, 2 pieces in each, so they can be easily packed and shipped.
