Flower wreaths are super popular as hair ornaments for both weddings, confirmations and christenings. The beautiful wreaths can be varied endlessly and made in exactly the style that suits you and your party. Here you get tips and inspiration for your hair wreath. We have chosen to combine paper flowers and dried flowers to create a wreath that lasts (almost) forever and can also be decorated after the party.
DRIED FLOWERS WELL SUITABLE FOR A HAIR WREATH
In principle, all dried flowers can be used in your wreath, but we still think that there are some flowers that stand out and are particularly suitable.
- Bridal veils give a flowery look and are good as filling in your wreath
- Preserved hydrangea is soft to work with and therefore does not break
- Grasses add lightness and detail to your wreath
- Eucalyptus adds some greenery with its dusty beautiful hues
If you can't find dried flowers in just the right colour, you can play with the expression by coloring them in water colour.
PAPER FLOWERS AS HAIR ORNAMENTS
Can't stand the beautiful handmade paper flowers either? We love to mix our favorites in a beautiful bouquet, but the flowers are also extremely suitable for a wreath. Here you can shape flowers and leaves so that they fall naturally between the dried stems. In this wreath we have used light blue Morning Glory , yellow African Lily , red Poppy and yellow Dahlia . The paper flowers create lots of fullness, color and eye-catching in the light but voluminous wreath.

DIY: MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWER WREATH
Are you the DIY type? Here are some tips for those of you who want to make your own hair wreath. However, there are no rules for how to make your wreath, experiment with the expression and make it your own.
CHOOSE STYLE
Should it be simple in expression with the flowers sitting close together or have lots of volume and be looser in expression?
TAKE CONTROL OF COLORS
Should the wreath match your outfit, the theme of the party or similar?
HAVE MATERIALS READY
Break off the stems and flowers into suitable pieces so they are ready to attach to the wreath when you are ready. In addition to flowers, you need floral tape (a kind of paper tape with adhesive on both sides) and floral wire (paper-covered steel wire).
In the video here, you can see how we made a wreath with a mix of paper flowers and dried flowers.
INSERT VIDEO
The hair ornament can be made as a wreath, but can also be varied and made on a barrette, as a hair clip or something else that suits the hairstyle.
USE HAIR WREATH WITH DRIED FLOWERS
Flower wreaths are for all special occasions - for the summer party, the garden wedding and the family party. And both adults and children can decorate themselves with beautiful flowers. This applies to both the bride, the bridesmaids, the confirmand and the baby to be christened.
ETERNAL WREATH FOR THE WALL
A dried flower wreath is not only beautiful as a decoration in the hair, it can easily be reused on the wall in memory of a special day. Hang the flower wreath on the wall in a mix with some nice photographs from the day to create a personal hanging still life.
