Glass is beautiful, especially in combination with water - the reflections are very special when the light hits. However, there will always be cleaning associated with glass, water, and plants. Here, we give you our tips to keep our glass vases from STUDIO ABOUT clean and neat.

The vases are made of the strong glass type, borosilicate glass, which is the same type of glass that is used to make laboratory equipment, such as test tubes and flasks. This means that the colors do not fade during use, as the glass is colored thoroughly.

This quality of glass can therefore also be kept clean with acid / base-containing products such as acetic acid. You can also use boiling water for cleaning, which the glass can also hold. In principle, the vases from STUDIO ABOUT can also easily withstand getting in the dishwasher, but we do not recommend it as they may bump into other things. Borosilicate glass is super strong, but it is still glass and can therefore also break by impact, for example.

  • If you use ordinary tap water, the products are easily cleaned with ordinary dishwashing detergent, but if you have stubborn limescale, it is an advantage to use ordinary household vinegar. Here you can possibly soak them in a tub for an hour to loosen the lime better.
  • Pour equal parts water and vinegar into your Flower -or Plant bubble or your Flower tube, wait a while and rub on the lime edges. You can use an old toothbrush to get into the bubbles.
  • Repeat the procedure if necessary. Or leave your vase with vinegar water overnight or while you are at work.

If you want to completely avoid limescale on your glass vases, you can use demineralized water or boil the water before use. By doing so, the lime is removed from the water and will therefore not settle on the glass.
