The FLOWER TUBE collection is a series of glass vases designed for a smaller bouquet or a few single stems or try with a few apples or cherry branches as spring approaches. The cylindrical vases are available in a range of sizes and colours and are all designed by architect Mikkel Lang Mikkelsen.
The glass vase is available here in beautiful yellow with a 20 cm height. The vase consists of two parts - a coloured glass vase, which rests in a transparent cylinder of glass. The design adds a sculptural and floating expression to the vase and fits naturally into the Nordic and Nordic-inspired decor.
The vase is also available 16 cm tall and in a variety of colours such as pink, blue, and green. Be aware that the upper glass edge of the vase is fragile. We encourage you to be extra careful when taking the vase out of the cylinder.
When the garden is in full bloom and it flourishes with flowers and bouquets on the outdoor markets, it is a straightforward move to bring a little of the beauty inside and make a small bouquet for the glass vase. The flower tube glass vases can easily be placed empty as they are, but only become even more impressive in a small cluster with a range of colours and sizes. Experiment with the colour and sizes of the flowers and add a little colourful still life to the decor.
In the first months of the year, when we long for light and spring, you can use the vase with small flower bulbs such as hyacinths, crocuses, Easter lines and tulip bulbs. The bulbs grow quickly indoors but will find support in the cylindrical vase and stand beautifully and decoratively for a few weeks without any great care.
When we are out of season, you can decorate the vase with a few dried stems and a handmade paper flower from our flower collections - the bouquet requires no care but brings colour and the feeling of summer and bright days into the decor.
The vases are handcrafted in borosilicate glass, which is a particularly durable type of glass that endures high temperatures besides being scratch-resistant. The vase will keep its beautiful yellow hue over time and with regular cleaning with warm water and soap, it will stay impeccable and shiny. Use a little vinegar if you experience limescale.
